Keter - Crown by Salamone Rossi — Lyrics
About Keter - Crown
Salamone Rossi was a preeminent composer of the Italian Jewish diaspora in the early Baroque period. His sacred music, written in Hebrew, reflects the traditions of both Jewish liturgy and contemporary European polyphony. This motet, Keter – Crown, is scored for SATB and ATTB voices and draws on biblical texts and liturgical phrases. It expresses the exaltation of God's kingship and eternal dominion, with a text that proclaims "Our God, He is our Father, He is our King, He is our Saviour," and concludes with a jubilant "Hallelujah."
