K'AYI JEWE

"K'ayi Jewe" (Let Us Go) is a vibrant and majestic Igbo entrance anthem composed by King O. Eze. Written as a special entry piece for the Angelic Voice Choir's participation in the 2025 FILM (Festival of Indigenous Liturgical Music) in Calabar, the song captures the profound joy and anticipation of processing into the house of God. It opens with a free-rhythm tenor solo that sets a reverent tone, calling the congregation to bow down and worship the Creator who grants us life and watches over our days.

As the full choir enters, the piece bursts into a rhythmic and celebratory procession. The lyrics reflect a deep sense of gratitude and communal worship, declaring "Ayi agbayitewo na chi efo" (We have gathered as the day dawns) and offering a holy sacrifice washed in the blood of Jesus.
