Jesu Rex admirabilis

This striking SATB setting of a Latin text offers a profound devotional experience for the choir. The text, a series of praises and pleas to Jesus, is rich with imagery of Christ as a glorious king, a source of ineffable sweetness, and the ruler of all. The composer captures the passionate longing expressed in the words, calling for Jesus to illumine the mind and fill the world with sweetness. It would serve well in a service of reflection or contemplation, perhaps during a penitential season or simply as an anthem of heartfelt adoration. The motet's musical language complements the text's intensity, providing a powerful opportunity for expressive choral singing.
