INSTRUMENTS OF YOUR PEACE

"Instruments of Your Peace" is a gentle, stirring choral setting inspired by the beloved Prayer of St. Francis. The song is a collective plea for grace, asking God to transform the singers into active channels of His love. With its straightforward, earnest lyrics, it calls the choir and congregation to replace hatred with love, injury with forgiveness, and darkness with light.

In Nigerian Catholic parishes, this piece is frequently sung as an Entrance or Communion hymn, setting a tone of reflection and unity. The arrangement opens with a full-choir refrain that establishes a strong, unified petition before moving into solo-led verses. As the verses unfold, the melody carries a deep sense of purpose, reminding everyone in the pews of their shared Christian duty to bring peace and healing to a broken world.
