About In Silence
Jens Klimek's In Silence is a sacred work for SATB choir, setting English text that explores the contemplative path of the devout soul. The composer captures the lyrical journey from quietude and learning hidden truths to finding a fount of tears for spiritual cleansing. The text suggests that by dwelling further from worldly distractions and communing with one's heart, the soul grows closer to its maker. Klimek's setting would suit a choir looking to explore themes of introspection and spiritual devotion through a modern sacred idiom, offering a reflective musical experience for both singers and listeners.
