About Iam non dicam
Antonio Mortaro's Iam non dicam sets a poignant Latin text for treble voices (SSB). The music opens with gentle imitative entries, creating a warm and intimate texture. The composer skillfully shapes the phrases to reflect the devotional nature of the sacred words. The text speaks of a new relationship, moving from master and servant to friendship, where all is revealed. This motet would be a thoughtful addition to a service or concert, offering a moment of reflection on divine love and understanding. The SSB voicing allows for a bright and clear projection of this heartfelt message.
