Det är solljus i luft, det är blomster på mark,
det är strålande vår över allt,
och det sorlar och jublar i doftande park,
där den sista av drivorna smalt.
Och i lundarnas topp stämmas hymnerna opp,
och uppståndelsens anda står väldig och stark,
där det nyss var så öde och kallt.
Nu drar lärkan sitt strå bland den växande råg,
och hon sjunger för den hon har kär,
och det kommer av svanar ett glänsande tåg
och slår ner, uti vikarna här.
Ty det blånande hav har stått upp ur sin grav,
och det rullar i solsken sin glittrande våg;

About I våren (V)
Ludvig Norman's I våren, a setting for SATB choir, captures the effervescent arrival of spring. The Swedish lyrics paint a vivid picture of sunlight, blossoming flowers, and joyful sounds echoing through fragrant parks as the last of the winter's ice melts away. A sense of rebirth permeates the text, with the land awakening from a state of desolation. Birds begin their songs, and the sea, having risen from its slumber, rolls in sunlit waves. This secular Lied evokes the vibrant rejuvenation of nature, moving from the cold and emptiness of winter to the full bloom and life of the spring season.
