I miei desir ogn' hor donna ti bramano
e perche veder te pietosi aspettano

About I miei desir
A solo aria from the Baroque era, I miei desir is a secular Italian song by Giovanni Felice Sances. It would be most fitting for a recital or a programme of early music. The text expresses the singer's passionate devotion to his beloved, detailing his longing and the effect of her beauty. He swears eternal fidelity, even beyond death, pledging his heart to her. The music would likely have been accompanied by basso continuo, creating an intimate and expressive atmosphere suited to the text's romantic sentiments.
