I am All

The composer Crys Armbrust crafts a reflective anthem for two-part choir (SA) in English. The music opens with a gentle interplay between the voices, creating an atmosphere of profound contemplation. The text, drawn from a Gnostic gospel, speaks of divine immanence, portraying God as the light that permeates all existence and the source from which all things originate and return. The composer captures the text’s intimate and universal message with simple yet effective melodic lines and harmonies, making this a meaningful choice for a sacred setting. The accessible nature of the SA voicing ensures it can be readily learned and effectively presented by choirs of varying abilities.
