Hosanna!

David Greenwood's anthem Hosanna! is set for SSA voices in English. The text draws from the Palm Sunday narrative, describing the crowds who took palm branches to meet Jesus, proclaiming 'Hosanna!' and 'Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord!' The music captures the triumphant and celebratory spirit of this biblical event, offering a powerful and uplifting setting suitable for sacred occasions. This piece would be an effective addition to a choir's repertoire, particularly during the Lenten or Easter season, providing a vibrant musical expression of faith and devotion.
