Holy, Holy 11th Oct 2015

Edewede Oriwoh’s setting of Holy, Holy Holy is a powerful declaration of praise. The text draws on the scriptural accounts of heavenly worship, beginning with the seraphic cry "Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD." The music moves through a fervent "Hosanna in the Highest," reflecting the adoration of the crowds welcoming Jesus. It culminates in the pronouncement "Blessed is He Who Comes in The Name of The LORD," a profound affirmation of faith. Composed for SATB choir, the work masterfully blends English and Latin text, adding a rich, traditional dimension to this contemporary expression of sacred devotion. Its structure builds from moments of awe to exultant acclamation, making it a compelling choice for services or concerts seeking to convey the majesty of divine glory.
