About Himmel, Erde, Luft und Meer
Friedrich Silcher’s hymn Himmel, Erde, Luft und Meer is set for SATB choir. The music opens with a joyful exultation, an outpouring of praise that encompasses all creation. The text, in German, calls upon heaven, earth, air, and sea to sing to God the Creator, with the soul invited to join the chorus.
