Hilltop by Kathryn Rose — Lyrics
1. Here we are giving,
out of our plenty
fruit of thanksgiving,
tribute of love.
Hearts overflowing
cannot stand empty,
constantly growing
grace from above.
2. Gathered as one, and
thankfully bringing
all that we are, and
all that we do.

About Hilltop
This SATB setting of an English text is a devotional hymn, suitable for an occasion of offering or thanksgiving. The lyrics speak of heartfelt gratitude, of bringing oneself and one’s gifts in service, and of recognizing oneself as a treasured creation. The music reflects this spirit of generosity and devotion, offering a rich harmonic language for the choir to explore. Kathryn Rose’s composition provides a thoughtful and expressive setting for these affirmative words, making it a fitting choice for congregational singing or a reflective moment within a service.
