Hear my Cry, O Lord

Alexander Kopylov’s anthem Hear my Cry, O Lord offers a powerful expression of faith and supplication suitable for any service where prayer and praise are central. Set for SATB choir, this English-language sacred work draws its text from several psalms, weaving together pleas for divine attention and deliverance with an exultant call to praise God’s holy name and to exalt His glory. The music reflects the devotional nature of the text, providing a moving and spiritually uplifting experience for both choir and congregation. It is a piece that can readily be programmed to deepen the reflective or celebratory moments within a liturgical setting, offering a profound musical setting of scripture.
