HEAL ME LORD

"Heal Me Lord" is a gentle, earnest prayer of repentance that speaks directly from a contrite heart. With its humble plea for forgiveness and guidance, the song captures the vulnerability of a soul seeking God's mercy. The lyrics move from a personal confession of sin to a deep reliance on God's grace, asking Him not to let the singer's voice "pass like wind."

In the choir loft, this piece is especially fitting for the Lenten season or as a quiet reflection after Communion. Its straightforward, petitionary refrain gives the congregation a moment of still, inward prayer. When the choir sings the second verse, recalling Christ's sacrifice to take away sins, it reinforces the profound hope that anchors our faith: that no one who comes to God with true sorrow will ever be passed by.
