Haec probatur

Antoine Brumel was a significant composer of the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries. This motet, Haec probatur, is a sacred work written in Latin. It is set for two voices, Soprano and Tenor. The text, 'Haec probatur coram Deo et hominibus concordia fratrum et amor proximorum, vir et mulier consentientes', speaks of how harmony among brothers and love for one's neighbour, and agreement between husband and wife, are proved before God and men.
