About Gods un slava
Gods un slava! is a Latvian carol celebrating the birth of Christ. The text expresses joy and reverence, proclaiming the Son of God has come to humanity as a small child. It paints a scene of the annunciation to the shepherds by the angel, and the adoration of the infant Jesus by the heavenly hosts who sing glory to God. The SATB choir is called upon to join the angels in praising God and dedicating themselves to following Christ. This sacred piece is suitable for Christmas services and concerts.
