Go Into The World

"Go Into the World" is a vibrant, driving piece that captures the very heart of the Church's mission. Marked vivace on the score, it carries a bright and urgent energy, making it a perfect choice for a recessional hymn. As the Mass concludes and the choir leads this song, it feels less like an ending and more like a sending-forth, reminding the congregation of the command to carry the good news outward.

The verses draw directly from Psalm 117, calling all nations and peoples to praise God for His enduring faithfulness and merciful love. Singing these verses gives the choir a moment of joyful proclamation before returning to the central, unifying call of the refrain. It is a brief but powerful piece that leaves everyone stepping out of the church doors with a renewed sense of purpose.
