Gloriosa Verginella by André Vierendeels — Lyrics
Gloriosa Verginella, puro Giglio,
Madre figlia'e Sposa del tuo Figlio.
O Maria dolce tesoro, io t'adoro.
Glorios'alta Regina, Vergin santa,
vaga Stella matutin' diva pianta,
O Marao dolce tesoro, io t'adoro.

About Gloriosa Verginella
The text celebrates the Virgin Mary with rich, evocative imagery, calling her a glorious maiden, a pure lily, and the mother, daughter, and spouse of her son. It also describes her as a radiant queen, a fragrant morning star, and a blessed soul full of grace. This devotional Italian text is set for SAT voices in a sacred motet style by André Vierendeels. The music would likely reflect the reverence and beauty of the Marian texts, offering a moving contemplation of Mary's virtues and celestial status.
