GLORY BE TO THE FATHER.

"Glory Be to the Father" is a joyful, rhythmic setting of the Gloria that beautifully weaves the traditional Mass text with a strong Trinitarian refrain. While the verses carry the familiar praises of the Gloria in excelsis Deo—blessing the Father, pleading to the Lamb of God, and exalting the Holy One—the chorus anchors the piece in a lively doxology to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This makes it an especially fitting choice for Trinity Sunday, though it brings a festive energy to the Gloria in any celebratory Mass.

The arrangement opens with a bright soprano introduction before the full choir bursts into the syncopated, driving chorus. In the verses, the composer uses engaging call-and-response textures—such as the sopranos and altos declaring "Glory to God in the highest" while the tenors and basses answer with "and peace to His people on earth." With its straightforward English text and spirited melody, it is an uplifting piece that keeps the choir engaged and invites the congregation into a mood of genuine worship.
