Orazio Vecchi was a leading figure in the late Italian Renaissance madrigal tradition. This SSATB setting, Gioite tutti, is a secular work in Italian that captures the exuberant spirit of spring's arrival. The text celebrates the season with imagery of blooming valleys and fragrant roses, encouraging joyous celebration through song, dance, and play.
