Geddington

The words of Geddington paint a scene of spiritual seeking, of a soul yearning to be in God's presence. Alan Gray's setting for SATB voices offers a direct and heartfelt response to this plea. The music moves with a devotional grace, the harmonies rich and supportive of the devotional text. This is a hymn of quiet confidence and enduring faith, suitable for moments of reflection and communal prayer. Its accessible nature makes it a fine choice for church choirs looking for a meaningful anthem that speaks directly to the heart of the congregation. The composer's skill is evident in the way the music so clearly underlines the message of the text.
