About Fürchte dich nicht
Do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not falter, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Alleluia. This powerful German sacred motet by Heinrich Schütz for solo bass voice (BB) is a profound setting of these comforting words from Isaiah 41:10. Schütz's masterful composition draws the listener into the divine reassurance offered by the text, creating an intimate and moving experience. The music vividly portrays the strength and unwavering support promised, making it a compelling choice for liturgical settings or concerts where profound spiritual expression is desired.
