Frühlingsglaube by Rudolf Tschirch — Lyrics
About Frühlingsglaube
Rudolf Tschirch's Frühlingsglaube opens with a sense of awakening, its textures and interplay of voices conjuring the gentle stirring of nature. The German text speaks of the fresh breezes that have arrived, weaving day and night, and bringing forth new sounds. It urges the heart not to be afraid, as everything must now turn towards renewal. The second stanza expands on this theme, describing how the world grows more beautiful each day, with blossoming that seems unending, and a deep valley in bloom. Again the message is to forget sorrow, for change is coming. This is a secular partsong, written for both SSA and SATB choirs.
