About Fonteine, moeder Maged reine
These words present Mary as a fount of grace, a noble blossom, and the chosen vessel for God's fruit, a miracle transcending nature. The text praises her unique role as mother, transcending all on Earth. André Vierendeels sets this Marian antiphon in Dutch for SAB choir. The motet offers a rich harmonic language to express the profound theological ideas of the text, creating a contemplative and devotional atmosphere.
