About Fairest Lord Jesus II
This arrangement of the familiar hymn Fairest Lord Jesus is for SATB choir. The anonymous composer’s melody is here set with rich harmonies that support the text’s devotion to Christ. The English lyrics praise Jesus as the fairest and purest of all, surpassing the beauties of nature, the heavens, and even the angels. The music aims to lift the heart in adoration, reflecting the text’s sentiment that Jesus is the soul’s glory, joy, and crown.
