Exsultemus adiutori nostro

This motet by Michael Praetorius offers a joyous call to praise. The Latin text, exultemus adiutori nostro, translates to 'Let us rejoice in our helper'. It urges singers to sing a new song to God, to confess Him, and to recount His wondrous deeds with hallelujah. Suitable for liturgical settings or concerts of sacred music, Praetorius’s SSATBB setting brings a rich texture to this exultant text. The polyphonic writing allows for clear declamation of the jubilant scriptural phrases, creating a powerful and uplifting choral experience.
