Evening Service

MB Krueger’s Evening Service is a setting of the traditional English canticles for SATB choir. This work is well-suited for regular congregational worship, offering a rich and fulfilling sound for the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis. The vocal writing is accessible, allowing choirs to concentrate on the expressive qualities of the text and the blend of the four parts. The harmony is largely diatonic, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that supports the solemnity of the evening liturgy. Krueger’s setting provides a straightforward yet beautifully crafted addition to the Anglican choral tradition, suitable for choirs of many abilities.
