Er ist's

The words express the joy of spring's return, with its gentle breezes, sweet scents, and the first hint of violets. The music captures this awakening with a flowing melody and gentle harmonies. Composed for SATB choir, this German setting of a classic text by Eduard Mörike is a delightful example of a secular part-song. The composer skilfully depicts the delicate unfolding of the season, culminating in the exultant affirmation that spring has indeed arrived. It is a charming miniature, perfect for adding a touch of natural beauty to any concert program.
