ENYI OMA M JESU

"Enyi Oma M Jesu" (My Good Friend Jesus) is a gentle, deeply reflective Communion hymn that approaches Christ not just as Lord, but as a close, comforting companion. The lyrics explicitly recognize Jesus present in the form of bread and wine ("n'ụdị achịcha na mmanya"), inviting Him to come and dwell in the hearts of the faithful.

Marked to be sung "calmly" (Wetue Obi), the piece creates a serene atmosphere for the Communion rite. The arrangement is particularly striking in its second verse, where the choir provides a steady, rhythmic ostinato while a soloist soars above with a heartfelt plea for guidance and comfort ("Biko bịa medaa mo...
