Enniscorthy Carol by Eduard Perrone — Lyrics
1. Good people all, this Christmas time,
Consider well and bear in mind
What our good God for us has done,
In sending His beloved Son.

About Enniscorthy Carol
Eduard Perrone's Enniscorthy Carol is a setting of a traditional English Christmas text. The words recount the Nativity story, from the Annunciation to the humble birth in Bethlehem's stable, urging the listener to consider God's gift to humanity. The SATB voicing allows for rich harmonic textures, suitable for a celebratory yet devotional Christmas offering. The text's narrative, emphasizing the divine purpose behind Christ's birth and the circumstances surrounding it, is well-suited to a musical setting that can convey both solemnity and joy.
