About El Noi de la Mare - Mab Y Forwyn
Andrew MacLean has arranged this traditional Catalan carol, El Noi de la Mare, for TTBB male voices. The English translation speaks of the gifts that might be brought to the infant Jesus. The text presents a series of offerings – raisins, figs, nuts, olives, honey, and cheese – and humorously acknowledges that if the figs are not ripe for Easter, they will be ready by Whitsun.
