About El foc
A passionate and evocative setting of Lombard text, El foc is a secular madrigal for TTBB choir. The composer captures the intensity of the lyrics, which speak of fire, wind, and intense love, urging listeners to embrace the moment even as destruction looms. This piece would suit a choir looking for a dramatic and textually rich addition to their programme, offering a unique exploration of powerful emotions through distinctive vocal textures. Its performance demands a confident and expressive ensemble, capable of conveying both the raw energy of the text and the intricate musical lines.
