About Ego rogabo Patrem
This powerful sacred motet by Andrea Gabrieli is an ideal choice for services during the Easter season, particularly for the Ascension or for Pentecost. The Latin text, drawn from the Gospel of John, speaks of Christ’s promise to send the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete, the Spirit of Truth, who will remain with the disciples forever. Gabrieli sets this comforting message for SATT and SATB choirs, offering a rich sonority.
