About Ecce mundi gaudium

This unison setting of a Latin Christmas text rejoices in the birth of Christ. The words announce the joy of the world and the salvation of nations, proclaiming the Virgin birth. They address Mary as Queen, full of grace, and speak of the one born without earthly seed who cleanses sin and rules all. Angels announce the birth to shepherds, promising peace. The arrival of the Magi, guided by a star with their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, completes the scene of Nativity celebrations.
