Ecce apparebit Dominus by Gierolamo Lambardi — Lyrics
Ecce apparebit dominus et non mentietur si moram fecerit exspecta eum quia veniet et non tardabit.
Alleluia.
About Ecce apparebit Dominus
This striking SATB setting of the Latin text Ecce apparebit Dominus would be ideal for Advent or the period leading up to Christmas. The composer Gierolamo Lambardi captures the hopeful anticipation of the text, which announces the imminent arrival of the Lord. The music builds towards the exultant Alleluia, reflecting the certainty that Christ will come and will not delay. Lambardi's work is a powerful example of sacred choral music from the Renaissance, suitable for a choir seeking to express profound spiritual messages with clarity and conviction.
