Easter Hymn

The King of glory, the soul of bliss, is proclaimed in this jubilant SATB setting of the Easter Hymn. The text, a joyous English paean of praise, celebrates everlasting life and the divine calling to know, to prove, and to love. The composer Thurlow Weed captures this exultant mood, with the music soaring to match the Alleluias that punctuate the text. Suitable for Easter services and other celebrations of Christ's resurrection, this anthem offers a powerful message of hope and redemption, expressed with straightforward, accessible choral writing.
