Duo serafin

This motet, Duo seraphim, is a sacred work by Adriano Banchieri, set for SS TT voices in Latin. The text, drawn from Isaiah, describes the seraphim calling out "Holy is the Lord God of Hosts. The whole earth is full of his glory." It also incorporates a passage about the three witnesses in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, affirming their unity. The composer uses the antiphonal nature of the seraphim's calls to create a dynamic and evocative musical setting. This piece would be suitable for services celebrating the Holy Trinity or for general liturgical occasions where a profound expression of divine glory is desired.
