About Douce Vierge Marie
This is a sacred French Christmas carol for solo voice. Its text is a prayer to the Virgin Mary, asking her to intercede for us with her son, Jesus. The lyrics express our unworthiness due to sin and our hope for salvation through Christ's sacrifice and Mary's grace. They praise her as the gracious Queen of Heaven, deserving of praise from all pious hearts and precious souls.
