Dominus, fortitudo plebis suae

This setting opens with a gentle, flowing melodic line that gradually builds in confidence and scope. The voices of the SAATB choir are woven together in a rich, homophonic texture that effectively conveys the devotional character of the Latin text. The music rises to moments of greater intensity, particularly when the text implores God for salvation and guidance. The composer captures the psalmist's plea for divine protection and enduring kingship, creating a powerful and resonant anthem suitable for entrance or as a general sacred motet.
