Domine salvum fac

This powerful SATB setting in Latin of Domine salvum fac would be an ideal choice for occasions of state or significant civic importance. Giovanni Battista Martini crafts a dignified and resonant musical setting of the prayer for the sovereign and for divine aid. The text, invoking God's protection for the Queen and seeking His ear in times of need, is treated with gravitas, building towards a solemn affirmation of the Trinity. The rich textures of the four-part choir support the solemnity of the liturgical text, making it a fitting anthem for services where reverence and a sense of occasion are paramount.
