Domenico Mazzocchi was a composer of the early Baroque era. This secular aria for SSATTB voices is set in Italian, and its text celebrates the joyful arrival of pleasant breezes that adorn Flora's hair with gold. The lyrics encourage these happy breezes to unfurl their rose-scented wings, weaving a crown of sacred gold for the sovereign Sun.
