Sieben Tugend seyn darinn b'reit:S
taub, Hoffnung, Lieb, Gerechtigkeit,
die Stärckte, mit der Mässigkeit,
wie auch Kluchund Fürsichtigkeit.

About Die Kirch mit sampt dem heilgen Geist
This German sacred hymn, Die Kirch mit sampt dem heilgen Geist, celebrates the Church and the Holy Spirit. The text draws parallels between the sacraments, the enduring presence of Christ within the Church, and the sevenfold gifts of the Spirit, including virtues and the dispelling of sins. It also touches upon seven types of human frailty and sickness. The composer, André Vierendeels, sets this theological text for STB voices. The hymn's structure and lyrical content reflect a deep contemplation of faith, spiritual gifts, and the human condition, offering a rich devotional experience for a choir.
