About Deus Abraham
This setting of Deus Abraham would be most appropriate for a service of Compline, or perhaps a wedding. The Latin text draws from the Book of Genesis and the Psalms, invoking the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It includes blessings for marriage, calling upon God to be with the couple and to fulfill his promises. The text then turns to the well-being of those who fear the Lord and walk in his ways, reflecting on the mystery of the union in Christ and the Church.
