Da kommt der Lenz, der schöne Junge,
den Alles lieben muss,
herein mit einem Freudensprunge
und lächelt seinen Gruß.
Und schickt sich gleich mit frohem Necken
zu all' den frohen Streichen an,
die er auch sonst dem alten Recken,
dem Winter angetan.
Er gibt sie frei, die Bächlein alle,
