Credo, Apt 42 by Jacobus Murrin — Lyrics
About Credo, Apt 42
This setting of the Credo from the Mass Ordinary is for TBB choir. Sung during the Eucharist, the Credo is the central declaration of Christian belief. Jacobus Murrin sets the Nicene Creed in Latin, from the opening "I believe in one God" through to the affirmation of the Incarnation, Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension. The text declares the divinity and humanity of Jesus Christ, his suffering and death for mankind, and his future return in glory. This is a substantial setting of a core liturgical text, suitable for services where a strong affirmation of faith is required.
