Corri Lidia dhe by Raffaello Rontani — Lyrics
About Corri Lidia dhe
Raffaello Rontani, a composer of the early Baroque period, worked in Florence and was known for his madrigals and instrumental music. This secular Italian piece, a solo madrigal, is set for a single soprano voice. The text depicts a dramatic scene, urgently calling Lidia to run to her beloved Tirsi, who is dying of love sickness and close to death. The singer must convey the desperation of the plea, as Tirsi's life fades away. The only cure lies in Lidia's intervention, imploring her to come swiftly and save him from his agonizing pain.
