Cor Jesu by Antonio Grimaldi — Lyrics
Cor Jesu flagrans amore nostri,
inflamma cor nostrum amore tui.
About Cor Jesu
This moving motet is ideal for services or occasions honouring the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The composer, Antonio Grimaldi, sets a Latin text that implores the divine heart, burning with love for us, to inflame our own hearts with love for it. Sung by two-part choir (SA), the simple yet profound musical lines effectively convey the devotional sentiment of the text. Its clear voicing makes it accessible for choirs seeking repertoire for liturgical use or devotional concerts, offering a moment of heartfelt reflection and spiritual aspiration.
