WORTHY IS THE LAMB

When we prepare for Communion, we need music that draws the congregation into the mystery of the Eucharist. Jude Nnam’s "Worthy Is The Lamb" does exactly that. It is a steady, reverent piece that focuses our minds on Christ as the "True and Eternal Priest" and the ultimate sacrifice. The tempo is marked Andante Con Anima—walking pace, but with soul—which gives the choir a chance to sing with deep, measured expression without rushing the moment.

The verses are beautifully specific to the Communion rite. As the people come forward, the choir sings, "As we eat His Body which He gave for us...
