Chwalcie łąki umajone by M. Mycielski — Lyrics
About Chwalcie łąki umajone
This sacred Polish anthem celebrates the beauty of creation and its praise of Mary, the Queen of the World. The text begins by invoking meadows, mountains, valleys, and streams to join in adoration, followed by creatures of the air and sea. It then turns to Mary herself, describing her as the crown of God's creation, exalted above the angels, and a gracious recipient of our offerings. The four-part SATB setting musically reflects the reverence and joy of this devotional text, with a final stanza urging all living things to praise Mary with us through the sounds of nature and birdsong.
